PAT Unveils LAWO’s new Crystal Console

Sydney, Australia – 5th of June, 2024 – Professional Audio & Television is thrilled to announce the arrival of Australia’s first new LAWO Crystal console. LAWO’s second generation crystal was designed as a multi-format console for radio, TV and live production environments and offers a new way for the audio broadcasting industry to navigate projects with its unparalleled performance, features and flexibility.

The LAWO Crystal console offers a compact footprint, intuitive operation, and is a customisable control surface, as well as a user-friendly interface that can be used as radio console or as a side car to the mc2 family of LAWO large format production consoles.

The Crystal is offered in two hardware options, both in light or dark finishes: main control module with 6 faders and the fader module with 8 faders, with potential to integrate the two for a total of 14 faders to accommodate whatever your production may need.

Featuring two distinct modes of operation – Power Core and Controller – with ‘Power Core’ mode allowing use of up to 4 Crystal console simultaneously in conjunction with the Power Core engine and ‘Controller’ mode turning the Crystal into a controller for the mc2 console at the press of a button.

The key features of the Crystal are its superior audio quality, flexible integration into any studio space, and scalable architecture for productions simple and complex alike. Complimented by a user-friendly interface that is easy to navigate straight of the box, making it as accessible for new users as much as it is for seasoned professionals who are familiar with the LAWO range.

Its modular design allows for easy expansion, accommodating the growing needs of broadcasters, presenting value in every studio, no matter where, what, or who. This covers all bases: small to midsized on-air studios; regional studios; news and commentary suites; smaller production studios; MCR control and OB vehicles – perfect for a variety of broadcast applications.

Patrick Salloch, Managing Director of Professional Audio & Television, expressed his excitement about bringing this cutting-edge console to the Australian and New Zealand market. “We are proud to introduce the first LAWO Crystal console to the Australian and New Zealand market. This console is highly versatile and represents much of what is exciting about the industry today. We will be touring the country with the new crystal to show it to radio stations and production companies alike. This little powerhouse combines both worlds and I look forward to showing it to our customers in ANZ.”

PAT’s technical team has been extensively trained on the LAWO crystal console, ensuring top-notch support and service for all clients. This launch signifies PAT’s ongoing dedication to delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving demands of the broadcast industry.
